Man-Made Super Mario Furniture – #FMSphotoaday

J is one very happy boy right now.

We were given a small set of drawers, which to be honest had seen better days but they were still very solid. So we’ve cleaned them and painted them. Then we bought some small wall stickers, added them to the drawers and created this Super Mario Set of drawers……………….

Something I Do Everyday #FMSphotoaday

A couple of pictures for todays challenge. Something I do everyday, no matter how busy I am …………….

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Each and everyday I always ensure that I make time to play with J. I love the time that we spend together, creating block mountains, wooden men, mario worlds, smiles and happy memories.

I think it’s too easy in todays world to allow a computer or games console to entertain our children and although J spends time on one or the other every day we restrict his time on his computer games. It’s important to us that he understands that he can have fun with other toys and with real people and that he knows Mum and Dad can still be fun sometimes.

A Favourite Thing – #FMSphotoaday

There were so many possibilities for todays #FMSphotoaday challenge. I have way too many favourite things!

One of my favourite things to do is to take photographs, I love documenting things, events etc with photographs and creating memory books/files with them. Another favourite thing is travelling, I don’t actually enjoy travelling but I love visiting and discovering new places.

When in Australia we visited one of my favourite places in the world and took one of my favourte photographs.

Autumn has always been my favourite season, despite the cold! And let’s face it, it has definitely gotten COLD!

A Photo A Day For July – 9 O’Clock

9am is mid morning at the MumtoJ house. By 9am I’d already fed my child, washed and dressed him, prepared lunch, done 2 loads of washing and hung it out on the line (yes it’s finally stopped raining!), built a fort in the living room, played a computer game, drawn pictures of said computer game with J, sorted through some paperwork  and drunk several cups of coffee. By 9am we were making cupcakes………………………….

#ColourMeInRK Project

This is a post for the BritMums #ColourMeInRK competition, sponsored by Kellogg’s.

Yesterday we received a (very large) box of Colour Me In Rice Krispies and a brilliant bumper colouring pack.

  

J thought the Colouring Case as fab and couldn’t wait to colour his special box of Rice Krispies. He’s not very keen on paints etc and needs alot of encouragement to use them but he loves pencils and felt pens. He was particularly impressed with the “magic pens”, you know the ones that change colour when you use the white pen.

J had great fun decorating the characters on his Rice Krispies box. Once he’d finished decorating the box he even asked if he could have some of his “special Rice Krispies”.
